Has anyone played this FPS? I bought it last year upon release but lost interest in it quite quickly. Anyway, I installed it yesterday and to be honest, it's just an amazing game. The game engine and technology used in it is amazing! HDR, real time physics, it looks gorgeous.
The story is great too. It's about a group of rebels that storm a tropical island and you happen to be stranded on this island and they are working an illegal project on this island, converting humans into beasts that you have to fight later on in the game.
The levels range from indoor ships to the island it is set on, the vehicles are great too. You can use boats, jeeps, hand gliders, all the typical action scene vehicles. The weapons are very detailed and the sounds are realistic, well, pretty much everything is detailed, everything. The character models are fantastic as each enemy unit has their own individual skin. The best thing about the game is the fact you can just roam around the gameplay area and cause mayhem on your enemies (individualy packed with realistic AI). It's so much fun ambushing enemy camp and causing distractions so you can blow a fuel tank or roll it down a hill into a hut and then blow it up. There is also a day to night feature in this game meaning it actually gets dark over time as you play the game.
