Game controls lock up

ill keep it simple

when i load BF2 i can log in search servers and join servers or watch demos.

when i get into a game
1.mouse doesnt move
2.keyboard doesnt input.

the strande thing is i can still alt tab and alt F4 and when i tab out, everything works.

ive been doing some server side modding lately but didnt help when i replaced the modded map with the original.

any ideas beside a total reinstall and having to put up with a nagging american telling me how to jump?

You need to search the forums, this is a very common issue and is easily fixed.
