Im know alittle about computers but not that much so..

How would I check what brand my RAM is? and if im using dual channel??

That's what I use.

The memory tab gives you general info but the SPD tab will give you the specific information that you're looking for.

Okay none of those things told me what brand I have, Am I looking in the wrong place??

Anyways my main questions is does my RAM have to be the same brand?

Okay I found what brand I got thanks to CPU'Z BUT my freaking brand is micron tech, which newegg and tigerdirect dont got so I ask again does it matter the brand??

true dat unless your planning to dual channel the buggers in which case its good practice to buy matched pairs.

you mobo manual and a quick look at your mobo (diff coloured slots are a good indicator it supports it) will tell you if you can dual channel it.

Ok I know I got dual channel (black and blue slots and that CPU's tells me)
