BF2 keeps "Optimizing"

Every once in awhile BF2 will "optimize" my settings while loading a New Map. Once the Map is loaded my graphics appear better, with no real noticeable performance hit. However, after I exit the server and check my Graphic Settings they appear the same as allways. I was wondering if this is a server side option, because when I delete the file from the Cache my Graphics go back to how I like them(though the game does look alot better the other way ).

Occasionally it will appear as if the game is re-optimizing your shaders, but it really isn't.

What I suggest you do is the following:

-delete your cache (contents of My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache)
-start BF2
-load a single player map to optimize the cache
-turn off BF2
-defragment your C drive
-leave your graphics options alone until you really wanna change them

That's what I do, but every now and then it will do it on it's own, and does make the Graphics look better. I have never changed my Graphics since I decided how I like them, maybe there's a key combo that I might be pressing
that is doing this. Or could the game be detecting that it could run better if it Changed "X", cause it aint me man

Naw...it happens to me randomly sometimes.

BF2 is buggy :cry:

This keeps happening to me whenever I switch between poe and bf2.
