    64 Player settings

I'm looking for honest answers here. Once again I've tweaked my rig in an attempt to achieve Med. or the impossible High game settings. I prefer 64 player maps and so far have only run Low settings. Plzz advise me before
    I spend another $250 on a socket754 3700+.

Socket 754? That almost certainly means AGP, did you remember to install the AGP driver?

I can play on 64 player servers and our specs and 3DMark scores are nearly identical

        A643000+ (@stock 1.8GHz)
        6800 GT w/ 81.95 TRU XG edition (@stock)
        2 GB Corsair PC3200

Have you tried NOT overclocking anything?

I haven't overclocked and things are fine here.

I do NOT have dynamic lighting and shadows on high though..I leave those on medium.

Having seen the 3dMark score this time round, I think I was wrong and you must have an AGP driver installed.

My CPU has been oc since day 1. Do you think temps could be a factor?
I idol at 58-60c and during game play never over 66c. I use coolbits 2.0
            for overclocking

60C is your idle temp? Then what's the temp under load? My Athlon X2 4400 only breaks past 50C under full load, idle is only 30C.

Sorry, my reading is terrible today. 60C is far too high a temp for idling. You may want to consider using some Arctic Silver to improve the heatflow.

Have you tried running BF2 with all of your hardware at stocks speeds and see what happens?

Ghost your hd and try reinstalling windows from fresh and install all the newest necessary drivers and see what happens. And yeah, 66C is too high maybe get a better cooler.

66 C!!! your nuts! lol. Yep, that is defientely too high.... About 55 C while playing should be really good. Since your rig is oc'd, what type of cooling system are you using? You should just be happy you are able to play in a 64 server. My comp. can't handle anything above 26 people!

I'd still just like to know his temps and BF2 performance when running at stock speeds...

                            Re: 64 Player settings

I'm seeing around 63C during game play. 2 fans in case and a funnel from
side of case to CPU area. This doesn't include GPU fan. Also, the above
temp is my GPU 6800 card.
I just have coolbits temp gauge for monitoring GPU. I have no clue what my CPU temps are.
Last night I installed the 81.98 driver. GPU Idle temp was 59C. My current GPU settings are 402/1.13 I'll get a look at CPU temps and purchase a water cool kit after Christmas. Resolving this heat issue will be my first step, anything is better than reinstalling windows.
Does anyone know a good program for monitoring CPU temp?
Is anyone else besides me getting sick of looking at my mug and fish?

If I keep my settings down 64 player maps run well on this rig. Almost zero issues. Are you suggesting I use default settings for CPU and GPU? or
                              just one of the said.
