Im sorry if there was a thred but im too lazy and in desperate help! My computer screwes up after at least 10 mins of battlefield 2. It eigher goes to a blue screen or crashes to the desktop. Now I no for sure that it's my grafix's card. My grafix's card is a ATi RADEON 9600. Please help! And yes, I have the latest update for it (5.12)

Are you overclocking it at all?

ok make sure you are not overclocking anything.

And if that doesnt work try reinstaling windows or for formatting your pc. Or your could try reinstalling Bf2

Why are you sure it's your graphics card? Is there mention of an ATI driver/file in the blue screen error?

I would start by re-installing your video card drivers and using Driver Cleaner Pro (www.driverheaven.net) to wipe out your old drivers first.

If re-installing your video card drivers doesn't work, then re-install BF2 using the manual method which includes deleting the entire My Documents\Battlefield 2 folder.

Download and install the latest version of your motherboard's BIOS. If it still happens, try going into the bios and turning your DDR timings down.

Whats the problem with overclocking? CPU or gfx card? Seriously, how stuffed p is BF2 if it cant handle an overclocked CPU! Pfft

That's the problem...BF2 (as well as BFV) is poorly optimized and brings out ANY system instability.

AH right...XP 3000...guess I should learn to read

I haven't been brave enough to overclock my A643000+ yet. Don't think I ever will.

Kawasaki, overclocking is when you turn up the clock speed of a processor, either a CPU or the GPU on graphics cards. In the Cat driver panel you'll find a tab for Overdrive, which will OC by just a little bit or google "ATI tool" which does a better job. Alternatively you could google "overclocking" :P

Thanks man but i just realised that infact it's my damn cd that f***ing up. My computer works good when the battle field 2 1st CD isn't in the drive. But when I put the disk in the drive, it goes to a blue screen. I tried cleaning it. Does any one else got any suggestens?
