    "Apply Filters"

Why is it when I click "apply filters" it kills the server list entirely and thus screwing any chance I have of getting another until I restart the game?

I did search this issue and didn't find an answer.

Any thoughts? Is it an known issue?

the browser just sucks, and I have the same problem.

DICE gave us many filters and many options, but they just don't work, big LOL

          Re: "Apply Filters"

This happens if you have more than 6 filters selected. Try unchecking a few (but certainly take a look at the alternative browsers too).

Yes, you shouldn't have to know all sorts of little tricks just to 'know how to use it'...they should make the in-game browser actually WORK.

Until then, All-Seeing Eye does what I need it to do and more. ... if only they'd fix the player list bug, it'd be perfect

ugh i hate when this happens. cause uausally i end up having to restart bf2 entirly, and even though this only takes a minute, its still a pain.

If you're talking about ASE...using the BF2 Connector Wrapper for ASE allows you to log into a server chosen from ASE without having to restart BF2 from the desktop.

Feel free to write it - I'd be interested in what you had to say, but doubt it would solve this relatively obvious and stupid problem.

You cannot have more than 6 filters activated at any one time, otherwise you will not get any servers shown when u apply.

Untick punkbuster, cos if u tick ranked it's punkbustered anyway.
Only tick one of the map sizes
Don't tick same version as if its different it'll be in red anyway.

Browser works fine for me like this.

                        To use the bf2 browser...

1)Uncheck all Filters (Esp Ranked + No Pass)
2)"Update Server List" be as patient as you like...
                        3)Stop the update...
                        4)Apply Filters,
                        5)Refresh... (NOT SERVER LIST)

                        Voila!

I also discovered a new thing with the browser. It also displays not onyl servers with a good ping but servers valid to your region.

Say your American, but in the Create Account screen you say your country is Nigeria. You won't all all the servers displayed as you would on American Account.
