I have been thinking of purchasing a joystick to make flying jets and choppers easier. My question is if I use a joystick to fly will I have to also use it during regular game play, or will I be able to use the keyboard and mouse like usual and just switch back and forth?

You will be able to use keyboard and mouse for whatever you want and joystick for whatever you want...just set it up the way you like it in the controls section.
I use keyboard/mouse for infantry and vehicles, and joystick for choppers and jets. -

BF2 is much more enjoyable with various game controllers at your disposal

Question to all,
So what's the best joystick to use with BF2 and BF2 Special Forces? The one i have now has a hard time flying the jets and copters. Heck, I fly better with the blasted mouse! It would be great if I could use the joystick for everything instead of switching back and forth between keyboard and joystick. Any opinions on what joystick to use?
