Problem Installing BF2

i've been trying to get the new patch to install on my PC so i uninstalled BF2, and deleted a/the registry entry (probably a bad idea) now when i try and reinstall BF2 it gets to the end of the "preparing setup" screen then the screen flickers and nothing more happens?
I have tried cleaning the disc (DVD version)

Any ideas of what i can do?

I have now solved the problem, using Regcleaner i found that BF2 was still in my registry so i deleted the entries and now Bf2 can install again.

Hehe..that was just what I was going to tell you

Doing a manual uninstall for this game is ALMOST a MUST.
