    Chopper 3rd person?

Anyone use the 3rd Person view when flying a chopper?

Personally I cant fly nearly half as good without being able to see the instruments in the cockpit...(horiz, vert etc)

Yeah, I'm a chopper lover too, but even flying Blackhawks in 3rd person is... well... a good way to suck dirt.

I tried practicing for awhile in 3rd person. Figured it would give a slight advantage due to the better field of vision. It never really worked out.

It's true... I really would rather live than see.

When blackhawking and flying attack choppers I always change to 3rd person when taking a flag...When flying the blackhawk I am always in 3rd person mode...You will find that you see everything on the battlefield and will die less. Get used to it it will pay off...

i can fly in both 1st and 3rd person views but 3rd person is useless when attacking as you cant see where you are aiming. i often fly in 3rd person when theres not much happening just to admire the view...

For some reason I can fly in all views with ease, perhaps the looking behind one better than 3rd/1st.

It's a rare skill that my friends find amazing, though it has no real benefits unless capping/bullet dodging. Most of my time is spent blowing stuff up, thus cockpit view is my candy.

Your best bet is to have a key mapped to rear view so you can switch back and forth quickly to see who is on your 6.

Otherwise, I cannot, for the life of me, fly a chopper or jet in 3rd person view.

press F9 and that cockpit will disappear

He seems to want the cockpit to be visible.

Yea im flying blackhawk in cockpit view but i switch to 3P before the landing.
Attack chopper only in nose view, the gunners helmet is way too big to see targets on the ground and spot them.

I never use 3p. Puts my pitch off balance. It is masterable but it would be hard to shoot if in a Attack Heli.

If they changed it to be a FIXED 3rd person camera rather than floating as it is now, I think most people would be quite able and willing to use it.
