Long time lurker, first time poster :)

Playing on Mashtuur City map last night, spawned at the main base and jumped into our heli with the intention of flying over to the main USMC base to stop the BH from respawning, well the heli got filled up pretty quickly and we all bailed apart from one of us right over the flag, captured it in 10 seconds or so. Just them the BH respawned and I have to say we had a fantastic pilot, I had the luck to man on of the guns, jeez we absolutely annihilated the USMC, we had them backed up into the Hill spawn point, jujst absolutley taking them out everytime they appeared, our pilot would even spin round so the other guy manning the gun could get his kill rate up. We won the round 199 - 0.

Now, I have been on the receiving end of the BH on Mashtuur before and I hated it, I must admit I did feel slightly guilty about owning the USMC so much. This episode just confirmed my opinion about Mashtuur being so imbalanced and the BH being so overpowering.

I had 45 kills that round and countless assists, the round only lasted around 15mins.
Just looking for ther peoples opinions.

I've seen the MEC using thier transport chopper and totally owned USMC.
Very easy for 2 guys to throw c4 out the back, and just camp the BH spawn.

In my opinion, it's not so much that the Blackhawk is over powered, it's that the MEC 'copter sucks major dead rat tail.

Blackhawks are one of the most fun aspects of the game. You can take 'em out if you try hard.

I'd like to see the other transports ramped up to balance it.
To do that:
- Double the rate of fire on the guns.
- Increase the field of fire
- Bump it's armor up a bit

Imagine how much fun you could have on Mash if both sides had good helo crews up there! Utter meatgrinder, true, but hella fun!

I think the armour on the BH is satisfactory personally... I do think they are a proper tool!

Also think the BH is easier to fly than the MEC, simply because of the angle...

I'm saying the other choppers need thos tweeks. Improved rate of fire, be able to swing their guns further, and get better armour.

It wouldn't be a clone of the blackhawk (still not as manuverable and no explosive rounds), but it would be balanced. Better anyway.

I really don't wanna see the BHs get nerfed.
Put the other ones on steriods!

well said mate well said , another thing that would be nice is get rid of the dam crates in the back lol you get nice bucket sets in the bh in the flying buses you get a crate come on how balanced is that lmao

What wargimp said. Although I do have to admit that the armor on the BH is way too heavy. I don't care if in real life they are "built like a tank" In real life tank shells are meant to destroy other REAL tanks, so things like BHs that are weaker copies of tanks should die in one hit to a tank shell.

I hope 1.3 fixes this with the (supposed) lowering of hp of aircraft.

I don't feel the BH is overpowered. You simply used it the way it was intended and your enemy sounds like they were a bunch of dolts. If they allowed themselves to get pushed back to one flag, they deserved what they got. Not to mention, a well coordinated squad can take down a BH fairly quickly.

Every time I play Mashtuur, my goal is to capture the South Gas Station. I'm successful nearly every time with just my 2-3 man squad.

Every so often, you get the pleasure of having the BH spawn JUST as you're capping the flag...nothing feels better than to dish it back to the USMC in their own BH for the rest of the round.

Again I must mention that the MEC chopper rules and will own a BH in Mashtuur if you know how to chopper-bomb.

Well, that was uncalled for.

I agree that the MEC transpot is a hell of a lot more hand for droppin nasty crap on eneimes... and I took that into account when thinking about how things need to be balanced. Thus, I did not say "clone the blackhawk". I did not say that the MEC chopper is useless. I didn't even say "just put the mini-guns on 'em".

No, instead, I proposed some well thought out balance tweeks that would bring the choppers more in-line with eachother while not losing the flavor of them being different.
