First Sergeant

Ok I'm a little confused with the first sergeant rank, I am very nearly at 20,000 points so will rank up soon but I dont have the basic commander badge. If I manage to get the badge will that mean I become the first sergeant and get 2 unlocks, or will I only get one unlock whether I get the commander badge or not?

One unlock regardless of which rank you get.

Yeah you'll get an unlock either way, but try to earn that commander badge, having the diamond on your rank seperates you from all of the other stripes out there.

i cant manage to get my knife badge... even though a rank up of First Sergeant is far off for me...

I just got First Sergeant and there are two unlocks for it. Also, you don't need the Commander Badge. Only the basic weapon badges.

YOu probably have SF if you got 2 unlocks. It has nothing to do with rank.

well ill never be a first sergent, i know for certain i will never get the basic knife badge, unless i meet a nice friendly enemy who will let me kill him 7 times in a round

7 kills aren't really that hard... I got mine on Sharqi, hiding out near the containers near the construction site.

You could also go sniper hunting in the tv station.

I've also heard wake island is good for a bit of knife hunting.

only one unlock for master sgt/first sgt unless you own SF, then you'll get 2. The rank really doesn't matter much though.

Thanks a lot for the replys, I had a look on Uber but when I saw a long list of basic badges i just assumed basic commander was in there which it isnt

Thats very good news as it saves me the bordom and saves my team from me trying to command again

strike@karkand is the map where i got the knife badge, it's difficult but possible..juz be prepared for a very bad k/d. If you have SF, try throwing a flash bang into the alley where all the MEC camp/spawn n starts kniving. That's what my friend did to get his knife badge. gd luck and lotsa patience is required.:)

I have the commander badge. It's kinda easy to get. But I doubt I'll ever get the knife badge. I'm normally killed by knifes lol.

Yeah I didn't think I would get the 7 kills in a round for the knife badge either until I played ghost town and the other team had the center point (64 player server). In a matter of 2 minutes I had 6 knife kills and then got my 7th in about 3 more mins. You just have to knife snipers on ghost town, wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

And btw you don't need any commander badge to get a higher rank...
