Teammates show up as RED players - I get banned for TK'ing ?

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this but, there are times when a teammate of mine, (not the same one every time), appears as an enemy, (red colored), and I blast him, I get a TK. Anyone know what the deal is with this? thanks.

this has happened t me a number of times, also, they will be blue, and they will kill me, because I thought they were a teammate, im guessing this is just a small problem?
