I can't turn ON or OFF Night Vision while IN vehicles...

I already tried searching for a response, so no flames please.

My problem is this:

Whenever I get into a vehicle in BF2 SF I have to turn night vision on or off while NOT in the vehicle. It can be a boat, HumVee, APC or any other vehicle. I hit the button to turn it off while driving or riding, but nothing happens. I have to GET OUT of the vehicle to get it to work.

My buddies can be driving and turn it off or on, but I can't.

Is there a fix? I am using the 7 key for Night Vision.

I have the same problem.

If you map nightvision to another key than F1-F12 and 0-1 keys, it should work. Ask your friends what key they use to do it?

You just have to bind weapon 7 or 8, one is gas mask, one is night vision. You have already done it in "infantry mode", but you need to do it in "vehicle" mode.

I will go home and try it..but I BET that is my problem. I seem to remember turning off 7 & 8 in vehicle mode...I was using them to call the commander.

Good info, I didn't know that. I just assumed that you couldn't change it in vehicles.

Yeah, when there are so many other weird bugs in the game, when you see something like this, you just expect that that is the way it is.

I have gas and nv on my mouse and it works perfectly.

OMFG, and I was asuming it was normal you could not change from nightvision in vehicles, For switching I got out , switched and got back in the vehicle, I am a complete IDIOT .

Reason, I binded my nightvision to my mouse, only in infantry offcourse.

i can turn NV off and on with no problem in a vechicle.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing....it was a bug that you couldn't. I also remapped my 7 & 8 key to my mouse.
