    AMD 64 3700+ Questions, HELP

Well for christmas I'am getting a new computer, and I have couple questions about the proccesor I'am getting that I hope some people could anwser.

    1. I have never OC'ed before, should I OC the 3700+ (2.4 ghz) or is it good enough.

    2. My case is coming with 3 fans, is that enough to cool the 3700 ? I know it isent the most powerful proccesor but is 3 fans enough to cool it under the heavy load of BF2 and newer games ?

    3. If anybody has any feedback, suggestions or useful info about the proccesor please post.

    4. Also my case is coming with 3 fans and I was just wondering if anyody knows what would be the best configuration for the fans, I will have 1 in the back and two on the side next to eachother heres a pic of the side http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/Images/...268Black_1.jpg What I mean to ask is what fans should be blowing in and which ones should be blowing out for maximum coolage(sp?)

    Thnx

ok, the 3700+ is a very very good processer. Getting this, you wont need to OC, dont try because you dont need to. even though it says its only 2.4ghz, amd processer operate way faster and way better. trust me. its a very good processer.
as for the cooling. The stock heatsink and fan that come with the processer will cool it enough, but the three extra fans will help, and also help cool other components like the ram and such. so your cooling is fine, and your processer is great, but I see you have a nvidia 6600gt, with a amd 3700+, you should probably get a better card, like the 6800 series or above

        1. Stock is never good enough. The 3700+ is a great processor to overclock, as it is the same core as the FX-series, and can quite often reach FX speeds. If you are intrested in overclocking read these:

2.Case fans have little to do with really keeping the CPU itself cool, what is more important is a good heatsink/fan combo on the CPU. The stock one is decent but if you plan on overclocking you will want to upgrade to something like an XP-90 or similar (or liquid cooling )

        3.ok I did.

        4. 2 on the side blowing in and one in the back blowing out would be best IMO.
