Tank 1S1K revealed long time ago back when BF2 just came out

idk if anyone else has noticed this. actually tank 1 shot 1 kill weak spot was revealed in the BF2 intro movie, which is the one that US fights against China.

when one of the US soldiers blows up a chinese type 98, the AT rocket hits right at the same spot as showed in these 1s1k movies.

so everyone was asking for a movie, a picture or any kind of proof. matter of fact, u see it everytime u load ur game. (unless u renamed or removed movie files.. lol.)

Yes, the ramp explodes.

How do you know the tank wasn't damaged before the Marine shot it?

The base that the tank comes from in that map is the one that origionaly belongs to the USMC in that map, meaning the tank might of captured it, taking some damage in the process.

lol... well i think that flag is neutral when the round just starts. but whatever, my point is EA/DICE exposed the "secret" in the intro. it doesnt matter if the tank has been damaged or not, it could the actual game footage, but it's still been edited for the intro. all in all that's not what we are discussing here, is it?

It is sort of possible to destroy a tank with 1 hit but I haven't seen it done with a SRAW,more like a TOW.

I was playing as MEC (Sharqi) in a round and decided to rush the US outpost just outside the middle,the one near the MEC spawn points but not right near it..can't think of the name...anyway I drove my tank up and got hit with one TOW missile in the front and got blown up,I believed the guy to be a cheater but I let it slide,a few rounds later I found myself in his seat,I repeated the same tactic,as soon as the tank appears,shoot it at the front and hit the tread,next thing I know BOOM,one shot kill,I tried this in other places with the TOW but no go,I'm not sure if its just that area for the sides of the treads that are the weakness.

Btw ever tried driving a vehicle onto the stop sign or the bars beside it on the MEC base in Sharqi? I call it the 'stop sign of death' try it and you'll see what I mean.

Yes... You're saying you think it was a one shot kill in the intro movie but the tank might have been damaged. Plus, the fact that that intro movie was made to make the game look good. For example, the PLA troop at the end who slaps his face, you can't do that in game. Therefore, the one shot anti-tank kill might not be possible in game.

The weak areas of a tank are the rear, and the tracks, go into a unpopulated server and do the test yourself.

The tank in the intro movie is heavily damaged already, you can see the black smoke.

being possible or not, we need tests to confirm it. as for now, 1s1k tank vs tank is possible.

To simply put it no a AT can not 1sk a tank Ive spent ages trying from all different angles to all the different types of tanks and never been able to do it once. And this is from a person that is obsessed with killing armour that tank might get me 3 or 4 times but ill just keep respawning just to take it out i love killing armour

Hmm. Though it is foolish to assume the movie means it's possible to one-shot a tank with a rocket, it's worth investigating. Has anyone ever tested shooting the hatch?

Ive proberly shot every square inch of every peace of armour in this game with AT and from what i remember you get %50 damge from shoting the hatch.

Yah, I've tried finding a spot myself, best I can get is two shots to start a tank on fire by hitting it roughly in the same place I put tank rounds in my 1s1k videos.

I can look around again, but I don't think it is gonna happen because I don't believe the AT rounds ricochet at all, but I can try it out.

That would be great if you could find something, from memory its 2 shots to the hatch 2 shots to the tracks and i think theres another place i cant remember were. I do remember one thing though its different on each tank the t90 is more solid at the front than the m1 . ALTHOUGH things seem to change in each patch and the last time i did any testing was in 1.03 (for AT anyway) and there used to be a spot you could shot but you would get 0% damage but now it takes damage like anywere else.
