Glitch

well i'm about to reach 50k, and i just have one question. has the 1.12 patch fixed the Master Gunnery Sergeant/Sergeant Major glitch? you know.. the one when you've earned your vet and basic badges at the same time? but only records the vet one, and you dont get the extra promotion?thus giving you a lower rank? i have not seen it being mentioned over the last few weeks..

thats not a glitch in real life in the Marines when you get promoted passed Gunnery Sergeant you have to pick either First Sergeant or Master Sergeant if you pick First Sergeant after that would be Sergeant Major if you pick Master Sergeant you get promoted to Master Gunnery Sergeant now each of them ranks have diffrent duties and it depends on what the Marine picks First Sergeant and Master Sergeant are = ranks as are they after the promotion so your rank is not lower then mine

But in BF2 you don't get a direct 'choice', you get one by having all the basic badges. What he's talking about is if you don't have your basic badge and you do so well at whatever that is that you get a veteran right away, the game won't count it as a basic requirement and you're stuck with Master Gunnery Sergeant instead of Sergeant Major had it counted (or other way around, not bothered to check!)

I understand that i was just trying to tell him that he is a Master Sergeant and that no matter what he does now he will be getting promoted to Master Gunnery Sergeant and that the ranks are = not lower then First Sergeant/Sergeant Major

i already know that.. but look at my stats.. i'm about to reach 50k, and get promoted. all i wanted to know is that if the glitch has been fixed or not.
