    Screen flicker issue

    Evening all,

Having played BF2 and SF in 1280 x 1024 @ 75 hertz, the screen has now decided to flicker/twitch very slightly on the menu's and in game. This occurs with all 1280 x 1024 modes with any refresh rate (60, 70, 72, 75). Now, I don't want to reduce the resolution because it worked fine before, but I can't remember what changes were made that caused this to happen. Any ideas?

    I have a LG L1915S 19" flat screen monitor with 12ms response. Its max resolution is 1280 x 1024.

    Re: Screen flicker issue

I have recently begun experiencing a weird problem as well. I'll be playing the game, when suddenly the screen will flicker, turns black...almost crashes to desktop looking, and then I'll be back in the game.

It's really strange. I've never had this problem, and it seems that recently it has been happening more and more. Quite annoying actually.

Anyhow, this will happen on both BF2 and BF2 SF now. Sometimes, it'll only flicker once, and then some other times, it might flicker 3 to 4 times...feels like a huge lag spike, but enough to really look like it's causing damage...lol

Has anyone else been experiencing this weird problem?

    PEACE

Do you have drivers installed for your monitor?

If your talking about the thing when your in game, sombody shoots there gun, or theres something that would cause some light on the map, all of a sudden it gets all patched/blockey stuff that's black, I know what your talkin about, have trouble too, I believe it's the 1.12 patch that did it, I installed that sucker my graphics got screwed, but I'm used to it now:)

Nah thats not what I'm talking bout.

My issue occurs in all areas of the game, even the intro. There is a slight movement in the screen. It may even be a monitor problem I just dont know!

I must say that my graphics also got screwed from one day to the other, now is almost impossible for me to see good graphics no matter what settings I change under the video options.

Rico: I remember changing the revresh rate under Display Properties/Advance/monitor apparently that resolve the flickering problem but my graphics are still screwed up and I just hate playing BF2 like that.
