    Prone Spamming

What is it exactly? Is it when someone presses x very fast and they do the humping thing, or is it when they jump up and down and move while being prone, like a kangaroo?

    Re: Prone Spamming

I'm guessing when people prone then jump then prone then jump very quickly. I've been wondering about that myself. I'm glad 1.2 will stop bunny hopping while shooting.

okay thanks, because i have never seen an enemy rapidly go prone in battle... That's just plain stupid. That shouldn't be taken out, it looks so funny...

I came across someone that was jumping and proning really fast when i came against him down an alley on Karkand, I had seen it in tha patch notes and thought wtf previously. :p Anyway i think after the 4th time he landed prone with me frustrated as hell at not hitting him, he killed me in a couple of hits . Thank god thats being removed, if it is prone spamming :p.

Of course! That's how this whole mess got started.

The Aussies were just imitating their wildlife and some friggin' 12 year old American decided to use it and call it a "tactic"...

                ROFL.

Just hit prone, then jump twice, prone, jump twice, prone, jump twice...you'll bounce around like a magician! ZOMGz teh 1337 skillz! It is lame, and against the laws of physics for that matter (which I KNOW don't apply in BF2), but I wish they would take a different approach to fixing it. =/

I'd actually rather keep dolphin diving in the game though, it doesnt bother me, its not worth losing the ability to dive around the place, diving over sandbags to attack someone, diving for cover or just doing it out of boredom when your stuck at a base with no transport

Yeah, lets try to dolphin dive on a nice cement ground on our belly with alot of gear on us and see if we can jump again or move much lmao

I remember one specops guy said I was prone spamming as support because I kept going prone and killed him with MG36. Oh well I'm sorry, perhaps you'd like me to stand so every bullet misses while you with your very accurate gun takes me out at point blank range? No sorry bud I don't think so.

But the bunny hopping accuracy definatly needs to go,I'v seen people doing it far too many times now, even specops,I'v killed a few bunny hoppers but they acuse me of cheatin when they were being the tard,to be honest I wouldn't miss jumping at all if it were taken out.

Had a prone spammer last night, he found that it is not very effective against the M36 (four or five times in a row)

I wonder if you can bind prone to the mousewheel for some pure pronage.
