crash to desktop errors on startup (new one)
i have read all the threads about crashes to desktop and tehy dont address my problem so here it is
ive had the game since it came out and everything has been fine until now, i have isntalled each new patch taht has come out, as well as the special forces expansion... i had it on the latest version and it was playing fine, i hadnt played any special forces yet but the nromal game was running fine and then all of a sudden i started getting these black flickering screen and CTD error upon starting the game... i tried reinstalling the game along with erasing all the registry entries and deleting all the game data etc. and after a fresh isntall im getting the problem again...
in fact i tried starting up the game before reinstalling the 1.12 patch and it loaded up fine until the screen where it asks if you want to play a singleplayer or multiplayer game... as soon as i click multiplayer it crashes to desktop... then i installed the patch 1.12 again and now it crashes on startup with the black flickering screen like before...
the weird thing is all this started happening out of nowhere and unprovoked because the game was wokring fine. it was from one minute to the next i closed the game and started again and the CTD started happening...
i am not about to wipe my HD to play a game, especially since it was wokring fine and i didnt change anything, so dont give me all this reformat crap and etc... i hope someone can give me a real solution to the porolbem here thx in advance
