Enlarged Account Name Text (like myg0t)

We all know the legendary tribulations of myg0t. I was in a ranked server when a few of them joined, and for some odd reason, they all had enlarged account name text. It's almost as if their text was 3-4 times larger than traditional account name text.

Is this just a basic / or | command used when creating the account?

They used a code in the prefix section by manually editing the global.con file.

It's a shame that their names keep popping up. We're giving those kids what they desire..attention.

They deserve it though. Granted they ruin the game and playing atmosphere, but they have been pretty innovative as to how they exploit games.

I'm assuming editing this file may get you kicked via PB.

It'll probably be fixed in the next patch though.

The enlarged name smacks of "I didn't get hugged enough by my mommy and I need attention" syndrome. It's quite pathetic.

Sometimes servers kick you for Name Violation.

I got kicked for that, my name in game is "medicdustin". They couldn't find anything else to kick me for though. All I did was make suggestions about what popped up at the top, ex-no stat padding, no cheating bla bla. they had no hopping and i suggested no ddiving and bam im kicked.

I've seen lots of the large names and the coloured orange names, they are stupid and I don't understand why they make them, besides for attention.

Please note that doing so is considered an exploit by EA's standards, and chances are action will be taken against you for doing so (further action than just the many bans from the servers, which you will be getting).

Alright so theoretically if I was an attention whore and theoretically wanted to make my name orange, how would I theoretically go about doing this IF I WANTED TO.

just look at the scoreboard and note down the 4 symbols they use as their prefix - it's not rocket science
