Help with patch 1.12 plz ...

Hello

I have just reformated my hardrive. Then I installed BF2 and by then it was ofcourse the original version. Then im trying to install v1.12 and when it is in the process of patching, it just comes up some RTPatch error message that says the whole **** needs to be terminated. And after that it just says "patching failed" and im back at the desktop.

I know u probably heard this alot but I have tried Many things and it just wont work. I have tried that thing with "make a new account and update from there" and "write %temp% in run and copy the files into bf2 folder and update using cmd" etc......

And I cant even get into the welcome screen before it comes up some stupid error message with 1.03 so I cant even use that version....so now im stuck at 1.02 with lame servers...

So you installed BF2 from original disks onto a freshly formatted hard drive?

Are you talking about your PCs main C drive where Windows resides or some separate data/game drive in a multi-HDD system?

Yes, I installed BF2 from original disks onto a freshly formatted hard drive.

I installed it in C because thats my only drive.

Have you tried deleting the entire ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2 directory?

Have you tried deleting the registry entries as per this page?
