BF2 bandwidht reqs

I wonder how much bandwidth BF2 uses up at any time.

I wonder since in Sweden I'll only have about .5-1Mbit broadband and it worries me a bit that I wont be able to play without some serious ping punishment.

So if anyone knows it would be highly appreciated if you could share some numbers:) and hopefully calm my nerves

Bandwidth requirements are as follows:

* 32 players: 5Mb/s
* 40 players: 6Mb/s
* 64 players: 8Mb/s

Clients seem to use about 60-80Kb/s

ISDN users - Join games with a maximum of 16 players.

ADSL/Cable users - Join games with a maximum of 32 players.

T1/LAN users - Join games with a maximum of 64 players.

Thanks but, hmm, dont really get it. Will I need a minimun of a 5Mbit line to play a 32 player map, or will a 1Mbit suffice for playing on the smaller maps? 5Mbit sounds like an awful lot just for a game...

If i cant play on a .5-1Mbit connection then I dont know what I'll do?hehe

He's talking about HOSTING with those numbers.

The best way to find out what your latency will be like would be to ping some ranked servers close to you.

Your upload speed will be the most important. But you should be fine with 24/32 player servers. Probably even 64 if your PC can handle it.
