    Dissidents presents - Warbirds

A dogfight scene set in real-time, using multiple camera views, with added sound effects and a bluescreen effect in the bonus clip. Music by Hans Zimmer.

I liked it, was pretty exciting at the beginning but got somewhat monotonous at the middle. There were a few shots that were brilliant in my opinion, like the cockpit view and when they fly low at the airfield - great camera work there.

one thing that could've made a big difference is that you could've manipulated the sound of one of the planes to have lower pitch or something.. so we "know" what plane we're chasing by just hearing the sound, that would make the movie a lot better - at least for me.

then we have the nametags but i'm sure other people will mention those. I hoped I would see more (if not all) shots recorded with freecam. That follow-cam looks so fake somehow. Trying to follow the planes with a freecam is much harder but would be worth the effort as shots made with freecam are in the end much better than the follow-cam (or whatever it's called).

It looks like I wrote mostly negative things, but that's because I enjoyed the movie and think you can improve your work for the next one (if there's a next one planned).

    Overall, i liked it.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback.

That 15 second clip of the airfield flyby took about 5 hours to get it the way I wanted. (Actually I just re-did again).
The in cockpit view with the chase plane always in view was extremely difficult to capture but I finally figured out how to do it through lots of trial and error.

I tried getting rid of the nametags but nothing seemed to work.

I spent a long while using a second sound for the second jet, but it just got drowned out and garbbled.
It's my first time using Premiere and I'm still learning.
Spent a considerable time just figuring the best export settings. :)

Thanks again for the feedback, really appreciate it. :)

                    Great movie, nicely done.

Try and use player cam a little less, and free cam a little more. Player cam tends to mark a newer film producer, or one who is too lazy to do it himself.

As for the nametags, they are caused by the player cam. Don't believe me? Try it out. Open up BFRecorder and load your demo. The name tags will NOT appear until you switch to player cam, =P

It's a little tough following 2 fast moving jets in free-cam.

                      Thanks for the feed-back everybody.:)

Set the speed to 5%, and follow it while holding shift. It takes a while, but the final effect is phenomenal.

Like Saladfork said.. follow the planes in slowmotion, it's easier to follow then and make really great camera work.
