    Glitching/lagging

For some reason I can't play in BF2 servers with more than 24 people or so. I have an ATI 9800 Pro and 1 gig. of memory and a 1.8 gig processor. I was forced to get all my badges in 16 size servers and it was extremely difficult. I spent days just trying to get my expert knife... If I play in a large server my movements feel delayed and my gun always points at the ground as if I'm sprinting. I really would love to play in 64 servers and such but I just can't.... Is it my processor? my router? I'm just not sure...

I'm thinking it's your processor, but what type, Intel AMD?

Its an Intel... If anything were to be causing lagg, it would probably be my processor..Everytime I come near a bunch of enemies, it starts getting really laggy and stuff...

Do you have any other processes running in the background?

What happens when you turn all settings down to low?

          Re: Glitching/lagging

I hit Ctrl + alt + delete and ended all the processes under my name except 2. This seems to help a little bit but not much... Turning down my graphics tends to help a bit too, bit its still unbearable...

Well, I would say unless you totally reformat and do a complete system optimization (tweaks and disabling services, etc), you're getting the best you can get until you upgrade your CPU.

i would agree. i dont have the link but if you go to bf2 tweeks in google or just tweeks.com or some thing to that effect you should be able to find something on tweaking your computer.

what video settings are you running.... cuz your cpu is the bottleneck here. The bare minimum (speed which the game wont crash) is 1.7ghz. Yours is 1.8ghz. So thats just "slightly better" than the minimum. And is ur 1.8ghz a pentium 4 or celeron? Cuz Celeron would also cause the lag. Try lowering all your settings to low and turn off AA and shadows. That might get you able to play... But god, get a new cpu if you can

Yeah, Celerons are pretty dumbed down.
