EU faction made up of British, German and French forces.

Lynx helos, ChallengerII, Leopard & Leclerc tanks, Famas rifles, Tornado bombers, Typhoon fighters etc. Theres a good range of decent kit on offer. Different classes for different nations.

Just make sure they all 'ave outrageous accenntzz, oui?

that would be cool. execpt maybe for tornado bombers. they're so damned old. didn't they have them in vietnam already?

To my understanding... when I think IRA, i think Irish terrorists trying to assasinate the King or somethign like that. If that understanding is correct, I don't see how you can make gigantic multiplayer levels about the IRA, which would just be a few terrorists trying to kill or blow something up.

you could implement them just like the insurgents only with different weapons. maybe little older european and american ones like the g3 and yeah would have to extend the storyline a lot and either bring the ira to the middle east or bring the storyline to ireland somehow. overall i don't think it's the best idea.

When I (along with most Brits) think IRA, we think Irish terrorists killing innocent civilians and dishing out kneecappings. I definitely wouldn't want them anywhere near my favourite PC game.

Anyway as I have said already I dont really care what faction it is as long as its signifigantly different to whats in the game. Well the environment mostly. Dont bring ******** misguided political views into a discussion about a game.

1. I don't care how great Napoleon was. Bringing up Napoleon in a discussion about MODERN France is not relevant. What next? Should we all be fighting with muskets because they were around in the Napoleon days?

2. Even if France WAS a military super power (note the big fat "WAS") it hasn't been very involved in wars against the middle east, so would probably be staying nuetral anyway.

I am not anti american (not by a long shot) nor am I a patriot, and neither are the majority of the french people, disapproving of the war in Iraq does not mean I don't like you, so I don't see what all the french bashing is about...

I think you've misread something, the writer is not french -bashing(although look up the treaty of Trianon in 1920 where THEY TORE MY COUNTRY APART) but is mocking the French military. Napoleon was a great general and did lead the French to many battles, but Napoleon is even more famous for his defeats, Moscow, Waterloo. French is synomomous with defeat, ever since that revolution they've never gotten it together
