free ways to record video of BF2

i have some program called snagit, but the game runs at about .5 fps with it running, lol. i hear everyone talking about fraps, but i cant get it for "free" because of some thing not allowing cracks. what about bf2 recorder? i heard it only works on a couple of servers. i want to make a type of video, like |ccc||PlaneWhore| 's video.

The only prog I know that works is Fraps. So I bought it. With Fraps you can record from demos etc. It's worth it.

fraps only lets you record ****ty 30 second videos though. it used to be "free" but the bastards sold out

There's an older version demo of FRAPs that has no time restriction, but has a constant watermark and very low resolution.
