    Re: headset help

    It MIGHT help, but you SHOULD be able to get it working with your current setup.

    Can you hear other people using VOIP? Sometimes either nobody is talking or VOIP is not actually working properly on that particular server.

    When in-game and in a squad, alt-tab out to the desktop and then access your mixer applet. Check the recording volume for the mic and see if BF2 made any changes. If so, change the mic input to where you want it and alt-tab back into BF2.

      Are the other programs (that the headset works with) utilising VoIP?

      Is there a firewall blocking the VoIP ports?

          Re: headset help

          Sending = 8003
          Receiving = 8002

          BF2 *may* use different ports, but I doubt it.

          Make sure they aren't being blocked by your firewall, and that your router is forwarding both ports to your machine's IP.

              Well, turn off McAfee firewall while you're playing and see what happens.
