BF2S simply is telling you that you need 50 points in a round.Originally posted by ConscriptVirusim not sure if that counts...i did that and got like 95 team points, but on the Bf2 Medal progress bar thing at some website said that i still needed 50 points to get the ribbon and it wasnt that it hadnt updated cuz i also got another award and it was there
If you had recently met all of the other requirements, you probably weren't awarded it because of bugs in the system. You will sometimes not receive an award/ribbon unless the system has successfully registered all of the other required stats. It's a shame, but it's true. I usually wait at least a few days after completing all of the other requirements for a ribbon before I attempt the IAR requirements.Comment

Well Stilla-Killa, 50+ teampoints isn't impossible to get if you have the right conditions and the right kits. I have had more than 50 many times, but I don't have the time needed for the ribbon yet. I'll try to explain the conditions that are right for a high teampoint game.
First, it is easiest to do if you find a 64 player server with fewer people in it. Try to make sure there are not too few or you run the risk of too many people leaving and the round resets and waits for more players. Also, try to get a map where both teams have an uncappable spawn so you don't get early win.
The fewer people, the longer the round will last because tickets won't go down as fast giving you more time to get team points. Also, there will be less people defending flags. You can get a ton of flag capture points on maps like these where you never run into anyone, but keep trading bases. Always be a medic, support or Engineer to get the extra team points. On low populated maps being an eng in a jeep is a good way to go because of the high vehicle/player ratio and all the commander assets that get blown up. Most people get tanks and apcs and when they die in them you can't revive them. This is also a scenario for the silver eng badge.
The second situation where I tend to get a lot of team points is on karkand. If you are in a situation where the usa has one side of the river and the Mec have the other, you get a lot of snipers shooting across the river. Be a medic and throw heal packs on wounded snipers and revive everyone that dies. You should get 50 team points no problem and easily get the silver med badge.
If you are great chopper pilot and have a good gunner it is possible to get a lot of team points too. Just make sure you go support so you can hover over your team after they capture a flag so you can get a couple cheap supply points. You miss out on the flag capture points, but getting 30 kill assists with 15 supply points and a couple random flag defends or captures should be possible.
Last but not least, stay out of planes. The only team points I've seen pilots get are flag defends and they usually end up with - team points because of all the teamkills they rack up.Comment
