Rather odd but still neat

I was playing BF2 the other day, and I was playing with just two people a few guys from my clan. So I am sitting in the grass as seen in the picture below and facing towards the Arty near the chinese teams air field on wake island. Yet in the sniper scope you can see a boat that is floating in the water where the Arty is but there is way I could of even had view of this because of the hill and everything.

The scope doesnt actually show what it sees, its jsut a picture of the level that moves around it the scpe so it LOOKS like its showing what it's seeing.

Behind me there is no boat, so no its not. Its whats infront of me. For the ones who said it was crap, thank you for your immature comment.

Its not whats infront of you, it's an image than scrolls across the scope as you move to make it LOOK like its what you see, it's just a coincidence that it looks like what's infront of you.

I went onto wake and tried this and it does infact work. When you move the scope towards the direction of the boat, it displays the reflection of the boat itself, even though the boats infront of you, its odd I know.

lol looks a lil cropped up but funny if u notice the detail on the plane vs the way the surrounding looks i had a laugh thouhg

Its not odd, its called cube environment mapping.
Theres a "box" around the level that shows a shot of the other side.
