Only if the game has VOIP for multiplayer but if you play with your friends or somthing just get teamspeak or ventrilo

will it work on a lan and do i need to download the server version if i host it?

yeah dl the server version and the client version the server will tell you what ip you connect to and what ip your friends connect to and it might work on lan i never tried it

- Download server and client version.
- Install server on any computer, and the clients on all other computers.
- Simply connect to IP the server.exe was installed on.

The TeamSpeak website has an FAQ section if you get stuck, but it is pretty simple :)
