Can somebody help me install this mod..?

[The Question]

As some of you know I've been trying hard to install the Mercenaries v6.0 mod for Battlefield 2 and can't get it working. Last time I think it was the reason my game screwed up on me and had to be reinstalled.

I read how to install it but still need help so could you all lend me a hand?

What's the problem exactly? I have it and SF 2.0 installed with no perceivable problems. Did you rename your bf2.exe file? Or have you moved any of your folders around? Does vanilla BF2 crash after installing Merc 6.0? If so then it's not Merc, because unlike the 1.12 xpack patch, Merc 6.0 doesn't affect vanilla BF2 AT ALL, and it's impossible for it to make it unstable unless it's pulled up in the target.

Well that's why its not working for you. Change the target to match the name of what you changed it to.

What were you expecting? And what have you done?

Things I love about Merc:

1)blood
2)weapons are better sighted
3)headshots almost always kill
4)explosions are HUGE. Shoot the ground with a tank.
5)you can blow up artillary, uav trailer etc with other weapons (tank is best, rocket launcher doesn't have enough unless you get reloaded)

play around with it. It's not a conversion just some changes.

Well there are no new rides, I never cared about the blood like all of you, there are not many people playing on the servers like 3 or 5 and the weapons are now too damn strong like the DOA looking like some enterprise phasers.

Just do a search on yahoo for reduce battlefield 2 lag

Well it's not for everyone. I don't know any off the top of my head that has new rides, just new vehicle skins. Good luck in finding what you want.
