EVer since the 1.12 update i can barely play bf2 anymore. before i could play on medium-high fine w/ no lag and good fps. Ever sincethe update its like 5 seconds of play time then freeze for 10 secs. Is it just me?? i have hear d of the update killing others ppl fps but not making it lag as bad as mine. well if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it.

hmmm i get alot of lag from SF but it runs fine for me in bf2

try to go to www.speedguide.net and get the TCP/ICP optimizer or go to www.ccleanup.com for the program CrapCleanup they both work great and have reduced my ping from 120 to now 30

its not so much my ping is bad but i lag like it freezes. but i will try what you reccomended to see if that works. Does anyone else have any suggestions incase the ping doesnt fix it?

You cannot have textures on high with only 1GB of RAM as the "high" setting for textures requires 1.5GB or more of RAM.

Well i know before the update i had them on high and it worked fine, but after the update i turned them onto medium and it still freeze/lags. and thats why im so confused now because i cant play it.

Reduce mipmapping in your GPU's properties, and reduce AntiAliasing in BF2 options to 0. See how that runs...

You cannot have textures on high with only 1GB of RAM as the "high" setting for textures requires 1.5GB or more of RAM.

No, I play high textures fine and my video card is quite a bit lower than that 6800gt.

WTF! I have 1 gig and I run on high textures. But, i'm upgrading to 2 gig hehe.

Delete the contents of the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache
