OK...........I finally got my rebooting problem fixed. I'm almost happy now. My only complaint is that my motherboard's onboard sound is not so great. I want better sound! I'm thinking about putting my old SB card back in. How do I go about this since I installed the drivers for the onboard sound? Do I need to uninstall the drivers for the audio chip? There isn't a jumper to turn onboard sound on or off........I checked. Is installing a pci sound card sufficient to disable onboard audio, or do the drivers need to come out?
Second.......should I try my old card again, or get a new card? I'm rather hesitant to put the old card back in. In that case, what card to you recommend? Something with decent sound that's not expensive. I don't need anything fancy, four channel output is sufficient.
Thanks for the input!
