    BF2 FILM : Lets Fly

    Hi all.
Still working on my BF2 film and had tons of footage from BF2 / SF that i was going to delete so instead i put them together and made a small video. Nothing new just people dying. Size - 21mb
    Enjoy.

Just had a look at it, Smiley_ie, and I thought it was superb! Amazing camerawork, fantastic editing and excellent choice of music. I've been greatly anticipating your upcoming film and this little clip heightened that anticipation even further.

What I like most about the videos you've made is that they demonstrate the level of quality that can be achieved with the game and the tools we have available. When someone is truly committed to doing high quality work, the results, as you've proven, can be extraordinary.

Keep up the great work! Oh, and how close are you to finishing your film?

Come to think of it, I've got a few other questions, too ...

    1) How long did this one take you?
    2) What editing program(s) are you using?
    3) Do you have any kind of background in film-making?

I'm very keen to learn more ...

      Thanks John-paul.

) The film is about halfway done, I dont have as much time as i would like so hopefully get it out for christmas ? I"ll post a couple of screen shots.
      1) I put half of it together about a month ago, and put the rest of it in over the last two days. Over all about 3.5 days
      2) I use Vegas video 6, But in the film i will allso be useing 3dmax. Just to give you an idea of what i do.

      Test animation

      3) I have made short films & done a lot of editing, edited two adverts this year for tv here in Ireland. And have to edit a short film for a uk production company in January. Im trying to get more into CGI and film effects.

How did you do the Zooms? It was my understanding BF2 couldn't do those Live? Or did you do it with Fraps using the sniper scope or something?

Yeah that's really great. You had some great in-game shots as well as some fantastic editing.

I'm really curious how you grabbed some of the in-game footage, though. I've always have trouble getting good in-game footage, you seem to be able to follow fast moving vehicles quickly.

Very impressive editing there, not toooo sure about the action in the scenes though, its funny at the start but gets a little monotonous, keep up the good work though

I'll second all the previous comments. Nicely done.
I liked the "under the tank" move.
Smiley_ie, what about the bf2 movie you are making now? Is there any specific theme?
