Ranked servers dropping fast..

2 months ago I was showing 2500 Ranked servers in my list..

1 month ago.. 1100

2 weeks ago...800

Last night 410.

Using same exact filters..

Looks like this game is losing interest with players fast... Games that came
out 5-6 years ago still have 2000 servers online today..

For Christmas Im asking Santa to give DICE some decent programmers, and
for DICE Execs to wake up and smell the horrible coffee EA is brewing and get
a new publisher.. (If they havent already been bought out by the EA bully..)

Yeah, I know there are unranked servers too, but hell, EA made the damn
points, unlocks, and ranks so damn important who wants to play unranked.
Im all for doing away with Ranked servers entirely.. but EA gets the game
server provider suckers to give them free servers.. STRONG ARMED...
Never seen this before in the online game community for a title, what a shame.

Thanks EA for taking what would have been a decent game, and ruining
it by your gestapo-like control. You'll never see another one of my dimes
again. EVER.

I personally have no problems with DICE or EA. BF2 is a great game and I can count the problems I have had on it on one hand, I am 324 hours into the game and plan on at least another 400-500 hours. All of you DICE haters need to grow up, tell me a game that is more addictive and more totally replayable than BF2? If you say Everquest or WoW I will TK you!

Actually, the server browser has been known to hide servers for no reason. It's been happening more and more often, especially in the recent days. Hell, it showed 3 servers for me earlier today, all with pings of over 4mill.

I'd blame GameSpy, not EA.

I would like them to kill the Ranked servers...

Gameplay is far better in unranked server managed by a good little clan...
All the times I play at ranked server there are those gay bastards jumping left and right at the same time as Prone as I shoot them...

Unranked servers are more controled by their owners.

Maybe it's because people stopped paying to run 234861304 empty servers and only the ones that have better game play are lasting, while the ones with 10 year old admins failed as they should have. I don't need 213948623480623 servers in a list, my favorites list is good enough.

I too have noticed a lack of Ranked servers online. I have also experienced the 'hidden' server issue as well. A couple good friends of mine play BF2, so i went and looked them up, found the server name and IP but when i went to find them in the browser it was not listed, I had to manually input the i.p... I also noticed the servers on my favourites do no appear in my browser list. I checked the ping rates and they are fine, i cleared all my temp files, rebooted, cleared history and cookies but no increase in servers. Im guessing I will have to install the Expansion, I wasnt impressed with what i've read so i've avoided installing it until now.

Any ideas are appreciated, i know there are servers out there but dont seem to come up.
