i keep getting this message now for some reason then i have to wait and join the server again. can some1 tell me how to stop this

Make sure your connection settings are set to cable/dsl instead of t1/lan.

Since the latest patch I've been getting "There is a problem with your connection" every few rounds. Recently, I have had to manually disconnect instead of being taken back to the menu... No idea why, I'm usually one of the lowest pings on the server and have nothing hogging bandwidth in the background.

Since patching this has happened a few times to me also. If I get back to the server browser it often lists the ping on the server I was disconnected from as 2500

I have wireless and this happens to me a lot.

It wont make your ping higher, in fact you will see a reduction in the connection problem message. I used to have this same problem, switching it to cable/dsl helps. T1/LAN is only for the near zero latency situation of a LAN, for games on an actual LAN.

If you lose connection with the server for a few seconds, it will show you that message, and then kick you out shortly after.

This is usually caused by packet loss. This is really common in wireless connections, as these packets are not sent through any sort of hardware, but rather through the air.

If you lose connection to the internet for any reason (router restarts, for example), this message will also appear.
