Im buying an X-Fi Platnium, along iwht a Medusa 5.1 Surround Headset, I heard rumors about mic in BF2 not working with X-Fi, can someone verify this fact for me please?

I've got the X-Fi Fatal1ty, and the mic is working here.
Some users have had to change a jumper on their 5.25" X-Fi bay in order to get their mic to work, however this is all detailed in the manual.
Seeing as you're getting the Platinum edition, you get a separate external bay, so it'll probably be a switch instead of a jumper for you to change in case it's not working.
