Squad Leader Tactic

I played on a squad the other night where the squad leader hid a few hundred yards from strategic spawns (he was intentionally doing this and picking off enemies that came in sight). The other 5 squad members kept spawning on him and charging the flag. The flag was heavily fortified but we eventually got it.

If the squad leader went charging in with us (and died like we did a few times), clearly taking that point would not have been successful. But, he wisely held back and let his squad do the dirty work.

I've always thought this tactic would be great and tried it a few times with no luck... either nobody spawned at me or nobody understood what I was doing.

It was great to see it in use!

thats how I do it...sucks cause i dont get as many kills but we always win top squad...

yea rarely do I see squad leaders actually do that. Works great though when they do

I have a habit of trying to be a hero and just charging in with the squad at my side. It's funny though, because sometimes I'll create a squad and pwn everything and have a higher score than the other squads put together, yet no one will join me. This tactic is nothing new to me but I'm going to try it out and see if people join up more.
