good thread, i havent seen many acts of kindness or teamwork recently but i today i made a long range shot from the Hotel Base to the Square Base on Karkand and killed a guy who had just put C4 on one of our tanks, it left me feeling good , even though the tank didnt realize what i had done,

Great thread Warbird! I have been next to you before and have resuplied you when you needed it or not. (=ITF=_Popeye) I have repected your play and I also love to help out the team, the whole team.

This is the way we all should be playing and posting on forums, we all know that the game has its flaws, but it's up to us to make it enjoyable. I have ranted in the past but this is inspiratonal and I'll be sure to do my best to only post on the possitive side from now on.

          I thank you, Warbird!

I can mostly recognize the Sniper part.... been there on both ends...

--Been a sniper and putting a bullet in someone about to knife a teammate...

--Been the victim... ie. Hearing a scream, turning around and seeing a dead enemy... promtly replying "thank you"

I agree with moke. When i play sniper, my accuracy is always arouns 55%, it isnt any higher because i take shots at bunnyhoppers and whatnot. However, it makes me feel all cushy when i shoot a bloke who was sneaking up on one of my own and he realises it. More often than not though, they run off as though nothing happened. best part is getting AT guys as they line up their shot, it makes life easy, and lately a lot of tankers have been thanking me . i try to be fair though, i'll warn the enemy snipers before i shoot them, see if they're paying attn by saying good spot, but you're a little too exposed, or something like that. then shoot em. But yeh, it is nice when players look out for each other.

The only thing I heard was his death cry. I certainly hadn't shot him, and I didn't see anyone else around who could have. The text read, <sniper> [M21] <opponent>.

Shortly thereafter, I thought I saw a support coming towards me, so I stood up and yelled for ammo again. And then I saw the red text. But it was only for a split second. <sniper> [M21] <opponent>. That sniper, I've forgotten his name, protected me until I was resupplied and ran off.

I don't believe this to be an isolated incident. I think there are people being saved by these unseen guardians all the time; they just don't realize it. To all the snipers out there who genuinely care about their teammates more than their stats, I say, with a heart full of gratitude, thank you.

                Thank you.
I always join a squad and protect them whilst they cap a flag. always make a habit of stayin slightly behind my squad and on a higher level thus always being able to find cover and provide effective covering fire myself. nothin shiites a squad up more than they're SL dying in 1shot and spammin sniper!!!!!

Agreed. I was getting bored witless with the number of crying arsed little spoilt bitches on this forum. This thread's given me some hope. Thanks Warbird.

dead presidents is a really good server, also plays the two best maps in the game. You can get some really great squads going.

Also when playing sniper there is much more satisfaction killing a spec op that is about to C4 a tank, and dieying 5 times. Than camping a spawn point from a roof top.

What about the ones that never loose a flag? You will never loose hotel if you play MEC with me on karkand.

Great thread - amist all the crying over ______ its nice to see something like this - even if its a bit 'perfect world'.

I have no specific names, but there's been plenty of peeps to thank while tooling around on the ground. And to a previous poster, that DP server is hella fun - Karkand and Sharqi, we've had 6+ guys from our clan in there many times, and have an upcoming 8v8 match with them (at least I think its the same Dead Presidents).

But yeah, TY to the medics with all their revives - especially when I was in a mad firefight over some position. Being brought back so that I proceed to clean out an area is priceless. Same goes for support and commanders who listen and help.

And just a general TY to anyone that goes out of their way to either help. or give me a "TY" after I do something to save thier butts. I tore up 2 guys yesterday taking the Train Accident flag on Karkand, and was near death after the exchange. A Vodnik from our main (MEC) drives by, but stops. The medic came over to me and healed me while the support player dropped some supplies.

Sure, it was for points, I know that, but they stopped to help 1 guy, as opposed to heading up to the hotel to help all the lemmings that fight there....
