Ok anyways. Ever since that time when BF2 was down was like what a week ago or something. So now When I click on my nick to connect to the server account it just stays there nothin happens. But heres the tricky part I figured out. Now when it still says Connecting after waiting about 30 seconds I press Escape and all the sudden like few seconds pass by Im connected to a map already. So I press escape again and Im back at the menu where it was supposed to come up when you have connected to your account. Its weird It started to do that right after that new patch 1.12 came out and when BF2 was down and now I have this problem that I have to deal with when trying to connect to my account name. Anyone else having this problem? Just really mad cause it takes me like 2 min just to go through the whole process just to ge to the main screen.

Sounds to me like you are using the play BF2 online now button, instead of BF2. The play online now, will attempt to find a server for you to play on, thats why when you hit escape you are loaded in a map. -

Well when I put in the BF2 game CD in it loads up the menu screen and I just click on PLay BF2 not online.Comment

There are 2 icons created by the install, one says play bf2 now, that one will attempt to find you a server to play on, right click that icon and click delete. now find the other icon that bf2 installed, and use that to start the game normally. Or click your start button and program files, EA games, and look in the BF2 folder at the different options.Comment

Question: When it tries to find a server for you, what does it go by? Does it just search for a populated server with the lowest ping?Comment

When I get back from school I will try and open the normal BF2 file on the desktop... because when I am logging in to the account server I takes aprox. 2-5 minuttes to log in... and I can't understand it...
I have a 1 mb Internet speed... 4.2 gb dual core and 2 gb Ram....??? What is going on..?
