I need help filming a movie!

hello everyone,

i desperately need help filming a movie. i got a very good idea for a movie but i dont know how to film it. i need some way so that i can film it without my gun in the way. i dont know how people do it, but ive watched other movies and it just a blank screen.

Please respond to this message i really need help!

The blank screen is more than likely the magical powers of BF Recorder

EDIT: By the way, a good way to find an idea.. or in my suggestion to me.. is to search for a desert like battle.. (Operation Desert Storm or Operation Iraqi Freedom) then it would be a tad intersesting instead of the usual one tank one guy artillery drops down, boom, USMC wins the battle of the world, you play the crappy version of the star spangled banner ea made, the credits come up, they go really fast so all you can make out in big letters is EA SUCKS, the movie stops, you click X, delete the movie, re-download it 3 months later, get interested in it, watch it too much, delete it again, post how good it was but how boring it got after awhile, search for a new movie, you get spyware, you throw the comp out of the window, so you aren't reading my post at the moment, you buy a new computer, read the post, throw the new one out the window, don't buy a new pc, the end.. So, try my idea out, see how it goes.

yeah if its a blank screen its most definately bf recorder. if all your stunts are one man stunts then create your own server with the maps u want. open up console and type in demo.recorddemo ____ (____ being whatever u want the demo title to be). after this do whatever you wanted to record and disconnect from server when you are done.

now the other part

open up my computer and go to c/program files/ea games/battlefield2/mods/bf2/demos

there should be two files titled for whatever u called it (one bf2demo and one bf2cam file)
copy those and open up a separate "my computer"

go to my documents/battlefield 2/profiles/default/demos. if the demos folder is not there create one titled "demos". now paste the 2 bfr files into this folder.

open up your game and check the community section. it should appear on the right hand side. if it doesnt log out, log back in and check again. open up the file, record with fraps and have fun!

oh yeah press q for a list of commands like restart, pause, slowmotion ect...
the numbers also work which is easier 1 is pause, 2 is play, 3 is 5% speed, 4 is 25% speed, 5 is 50% speed, etc... space is to change people and right mouse click is to change from ghost to 3rd person. use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

Sorry about the other post, was acting a bit weird that day... if you don't mind having the gun in the way, you can use fraps, if you know what it is, good, if you don't ... www.fraps.com if you don't buy it, you can only film about 30 secs at a time, there are other things though, like battle launcher (which I can't get a good link for) or other things, good luck

you can use fraps as well with battlerecorder of course. and another hint for good footage keep camera in one spot and change angles every 3-5 seconds. this of course being in ghost camera mode. watch my movie here if u want an example as i do it quite often: Click Here

Also if the server has Freecam enabled you can type "render.drawhud 0" in the console, and you will be abel to fly around and film every thing with a blank screen.

HA! HA! HA! now that is what i wanted to hear. thanks a ton guys. if this works im gunna be making a hel of alot of funny BF2 movies. the first one is about this disaprearing act, its gunna be halariouse.

but one more thing, is this all done in the Battlefeild 2 "DEMO", because when i went to bf2/demos/BLAH BLAGH BLAH there wans't that =folder there or w/e?

please answer this and that is all i need thanks

you open up the game like you normally do and start a local server then follow darkstars instructions.

hey guys, ive got 2 things:

1. when i tyed putting in the consol(yes i as ina ,ocal game) render.drawhud0 or demo.redcorddemo (filename) is does not work

2. i was thinking of joining sir. how do i join

1. for the drawhud make sure there's a space between "drawhud" and the 0, for the recording do you get any kind of error message?
