Armored Service Ribbon

On most BF2 sites, it says the requirements for this ribbon are 20 min. IAR and 19 kills in armor IAR. I've done both of these, but not in the same round.

My question is: Should it be in the same round? Is totalbf2 mistaken? They should change it to say in the same round.

No, else it would be a little too easy and wouldn't be a ribbon.

tank and apc only, and both IAR. I've gotten one and not the other, and then vice versa....so no ribbon

Anything that is listed as IAR is considered the trigger for that award. If there are two IAR's, both must fire in order to receive the award.

it took me quite a while to get this and the tank is my vehicle of choice. like the others i would get one but not the other, i even have a 53 kill streak in a tank. well finally about a week ago i got it. My tip is to find a 64 person size map with only 25-30 people in it. This way it is very long and much less competition of armored vehicles. be engineer and go solo so you get all possable kills (mind you this is only for going for medal, i very much a team player). always stay in tank fix tank as often as possable with crate or other engineer, that way you dont have to get out of tank. things you must look out for are: planes and choppers, Ground defence to the back side, and the ever so skilled C4 guys who can ruin a great run and you wont even see them. good luck, now if i can just get the crew service ribbon i will be really happy

I got it not even trying once. I just was in a tank trying around Mashtuur, and if I saw a guy or something I would shoot them. After a while of doing this, some drum rolls and wee I got the ribbon.

And I agree with Brother Justice, best way to get these ribbons and such is find a 64 player map with no more than 32 people in it. It also makes the game more interesting in my opinion, since you don't have to worry about dying every 3 seconds from being shot/grenade/grenade launcher/artillary/tanks/etc lol

The ribbon says IAR, and to get it, you must get a kill streak, meaning that you must not die. Which means, if you get 18 kills, then u die, then you won't get the badge even if you get another kill..

I think it means In a round.Not sure. In a row would be impossible

its not in a row, I died several times in the round and got mine. the IAR stands for In A Round, not in a row. So just have to get the 18 kills with armor during the round and the time needed driving it around

It is in a row. I remember reading it somewhere... And it is definitely possible. Some ppl even have 100+ kill streak... The heli whores,and for me, a plane whore....Lol. Though sadly, I got my Aerial Service Ribbon with only a kill streak of 23...

here is a tip... it is sort of bull****ting the ribbon but it worked for my friend. Be commnader at a map with plenty of sapce and get in a tank and go hide and get kills with your artillery.... it works on maps like sharqi, kubra.....

its not in a row for the armour ribbon i died 4 or five times IAR and still got the ribbon. all u have to do is 20 minutes in a tank IAR and have 19 kills IAR. i got mine(although it took me awhile) on 32 player map on karkand i was usmc and evertime i would get killed i would respawn and get the tank everytime.
