  • Mute command/key/shortcut in BF2?

I was wondering if there is a way to mute the sound in BF2, like with a console command?

What I'm looking for is to bind this to the same key as my Transmit key, so that my speakers wont cause feedback for the listeners.

    Does anyone know?

None that I know of. You could try using a program like Autohotkey and seeing if there was a way to get it to lower your windows audio volume temporarily.

But what you are looking for, unfortunately, does not exist.

At least BF2 automatically lowers game volume so you can hear incoming VOIP..it's a shame it doesn't squelch when you're transmitting Who knows...maybe it does a little. Can anyone confirm?

Yeah, this is what bugs me too. I don't notice any volume decrease on transmission, so what I do is press the Mute button on my speaker unit - but that's distracting and far from ideal in a firefight!
