Command Points

Maybe this is because im reletivly new to this so forgive me, but, What exactly do you gain Command Points for? I've done the same thing as commander on the same map (Wake 2007) but gained different amounts of command points each round. What is the system used to gauge when you gain points?

from what i can tell ur command points are the average of the players on ur team. i have also read that its a good thing not to use ur artillery b/c it takes aways kills from ur team which in turn gives u points. u get points i believe when ur team gets kills and capture flags and other things im sure. also if ur team wins the round the commander score is multiplied by 2
