I was playing spec ops on Devil's Perch. My commander asked me to go to the island with the artillary and comm receiver and blow it all to bits. I decided to swim over and as I got on to the shore and up the bank a little bit, I heard some rustling around and saw a sniper's barrel right above me sticking out over the grass. I quickly switched to my silencer, snuck up on his right and took him out. Then, I noticed that there were two more snipers laying in the grass. Neither of them heard anything, so I took them out the same way. I got up and started making my way to do what I was there to do, and here comes another one running right at me. By pure luck I was able to quickly switch to my machine gun and take him out too. Then I blew the place sky high with C4 and got the hell out of there. Now I finally know the beauty of playing as spec ops. The cool thing was that I used this tactic about 3 more times before they realized what I was doing.

Re: Awesome round on Devil's Perch
well if you manged to sneak up on those silly snipers, why didnt you use a knife, there is no honour in killing someone without them noticing if you dont embrass them while doing so , if I see a sniper who hasnt noticed me, I get out my knife without even thinking about it, heheComment

Re: Awesome round on Devil's Perch
Im going to have to try this today. Stealthy artillery demolitions :P
If you can sneak in an kill three snipers with a knife, blow up the arty and then get away with it without them having a clue whats happening then thats 10/10 for style :)
Most fun I had with special ops was on gulf of oman in the demo. A full squad, 3 special ops, one medic, one assault and a support. We all spawned in the bottom left base and got on hte boat, headed down river to the MEC base and destroyed there arty/UAV/radar proper special forces style :) Loads of fun coming under fire and then only escaping by stealing the enemys transport chopper right from under there silly noses lolComment

Re: Awesome round on Devil's Perch
Knifing is pretty much the same deal as killing someone with shock paddles (except it doesn't take as long to rear the knife back than to recharge the paddles) - get close, but not RIGHT on top of the body- and then shank him to your hearts delight.
If you really wanted to take ALL the snipers out in one go (provided they're in close proximity to each other)- if I could spare one C4 charge- I'd use it for that :PComment

Re: Awesome round on Devil's Perch
These snipers might not use it's class advantage to the best. Their sniper weapons support to handle long distance shots. Ofcourse, there is so call "claymore" for them to ensure someone doesn't sneaks behind. The spot they choose to snipe should not be obvious to other class access. Do not shoot repeatedly, or others will notice your position. For me, if I shoot one or two shots, I will duck down low for a while before I raise my head to find more victims. However, I prefer to look at my radar to see if enemy around me before I swing my rifle to that direction.Comment

Re: Awesome round on Devil's Perch
The only problem I have or my vulnerable time is when I am on my way to look for the right spot. That moment is my most dangeous time. I sometimes stumble into soldiers whom I am out gun against. My last resort for that is to drop my claymore, and hope to get even with.Comment

Re: Awesome round on Devil's Perch
Nice to know there are still spots that no body know about. I figure u make me to look for it. Anyway, I don't stay at one place for too long. I can only move when I feel I am being exposed. Usually, I have number of places pre-determined at beginning of the game. So, when I've to move, I will try the shortest cut to avoid bumping to someone. Devil perch is sure have many places to snipe. The darkness should be ideal to snipers. Have you ever try to find a spot behind the street light? I mean u use the light as your camo. Even if your muzzle flash, nobody would notice because of the light infront of it.Originally posted by Coifor me, sniper is my favourite class.....so this is wat i do....create a local game wif my cousin....and we go around every single map looking for brilliant sniper spots...and trust me..we have found one on devils perch that (not that i know of) no1 has found yet.....it requires zip-line 2 get..and when u shhot sum1 they have no idear where u are...u should try and find it green monk

Re: Awesome round on Devil's Perch
Best is shooting those stupid snipers when they attempt to climb the crane in various maps. You just look and laugh, even better is when you blow them out of the ladder, out of the crane and into some next area with a tank shell. Especially when you do it when there near the top, they were so close...Comment
