Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
There has to be a command or something for this because how do all these high quality videos have no player tags on them. I have searched this forum and google and can't find out what the command was. People have asked and they just reply with crap that has nothing to do with what they asked. Hopefully somone here can tell me.
I'm curious if there's a way to rewind... and I hope that there's another way other than never following people cause you get some great shots thatway (ala mounted cams etc).
You cannot rewind, for it is a game being replayed, in its full state. They've given some boring explanation as why they don't have a rewind on Battlerecorder... but all I read was "Blah blah blah no rewind blah blah blah".
As far as the name tag.. that is the first time I've heard of that command. But, it would be interesting to test.
That explanation for no rewind simply doesn't make sense. It's a complete file with a beginning and an end regardless of whether you can roam around. I admit, I find it truely amazing that it's such a powerful recorder and seems to have little if any noticable effect on game peformance and the incredibly small size of the duel file combo still shocks me, but anything that plays forward and be played backwards.
So EA is saying that it will play from full speed, all the way down in incriments of slowed down playback, until everything is completely stopped (pause), but going any further, is impossible? I don't buy it. Maybe the logistics of coding a rewind are a lot more complex than it seems to someone like me who's completely numb to coding software, but I'd be willing to put money on a good modder's ability to add that function to the battle recorder.
here is the simple reason why you cannot go backwards or rewind in battle recorder.
When making a demo file it does not record any video what so ever. It records a bunch of numbers and text. Rewinding in text is reading backwards. And no I dont mean reading each word from right to left. I mean reading each word backwards starting from the last letter. It comes out a junk. Thats what the BattleRecorder does if you try a rewind. It just sees junk when going backwards.
Its a pain in the but I know.
Here is another reason. When recording a camera movement you cant go back because the camera will already have those letters in the file. It cannot put the same scene on the same file.

Thankyou.:)
In the gamelogic file in mods/bf2
open with notepad or textpad
and add this line to the bottom
renderer.drawNametags 0
it will get rid of nametags.
To set back get rid of the line.
If you make adjustments to the file make sure you keep a backup of the original to replace it when u have finished or you wont be able to join servers.
is there any way to make the nametags appear earlier then when they do when you're in gamplay? I've tk'd (mosty in single player) way too often because I dunno whether I'm looking at the enemy or not. Also, gotten killed several times that way in multiplayer.

No, that's a deliberate feature to make it harder to spot enemies, however if you have 3D Map on (alt) then you shouldn't have that problem.
