No Sign of Patch?

I've been having serious Frame Rate problems and have tried everything.

Today I went to uninstall the Patch and Reinstall it. But I couldn't find the patch???

So I used my EA Downloader to reinstall it. And it says it completed. But when I do a search for it through Windows Explorer or a desktop search, there is no mention or file for the Patch?

Am I missing something here?

My guess is they are afraid to patch BF2 again. Everytime they do, it get worse.

Serious frame rate problem OMG OMG OMG!!!
id say about 99.999999% of the time this is fixed with installing the best drivers for your card depending on which game it runs best with. If you are that .000001% then play a different game. Maybe god doesnt like you?

To explain: EA doesnt care that you have a bad frame rate. you bought the thing, you're a sucker. sorry, but thats pretty much the truth.

Sadly true..Well atleast i have the unlocks to use in regular "more bug free / optimized" bf2vanilla. I seriously doubt a strong future for the series if they continue to be known for so many problems.

Reduce your settings to medium or low, if they are low grab new drivers.

if it says 'bf2_v1_12update.exe' already exists, make a different name for it, something ull remember, make sure it saves at desktop, then just download it

they azre working on a patch, but I think it will take several months before it hits the crowd.

hope they solve some major bugs like red tag, nades not going of, browser etc...

and wish you can mix up servers with vanilla and sf

Ugh are you kidding me? Those were the absolute worst maps of 42.

Omaha beach felt nothing like Omaha beach, it was a sniper fest. Battle axe was just dumb.

If you want an Omaha beach map, do FH's. Their Omaha Beach map makes vanilla's Omaha Beach map so sad out of inferiority it slit it's wrists and died in a corner.

And if they did Battle axe, it would have planes and helos. and apcs. and AA vehicles. and tanks. Thats how DICE thinks balance works: Throw every damn vhicle into the map, and the players will figure it out for themselves...

If you look at Wake... or pretty much every other map with every kind of vehicle... its pretty misbalanced.

thats bollox i'm affraid, when i had a problem with bf2 when it first came out my computer kept blue screening on me all the time whilst trying to play bf2, i emailed EA tech support and i found them to be most helpfull and they even sent me new motherboard drivers which were very hard for me to find

so... yeah i found them to be alright in that respect.
