Ahh...not

SF is dieing very quickly, just look at the stats for those on-line. Trust me, SF is on its way out in very short order. SF got poor reviews....and desirved it.

The night vison is kinda hard on the eyes. But the real stuff is just as bad.

every video game with night-vision turns the darkness green! In real life this is what it does. Also i admit it isn't the best night-vision it still can help in very dark areas

Exactly. The night vision in this game is very helpful when you're in an area with a lot of grass or brush and can't see very well when you're down on the ground. The enemies pop right out and if you're a sniper or a spec ops, you can take them out quite easily if they don't spot you first. No, it's not the greatest night vision, but it does the job. The night maps were put in for variety. The BF2 community was actually requesting this, and there had already been a couple of mods to make all the BF2 maps into night missions.

Real life NV IS hard on your eyes. And once you take the goggles off your eyes you won't be able to see very well in darker areas. This is much different in the game. I've remapped NV to the F key, and you can switch it on and off in just a millisec.
And you can see through the dark with the NV in game. I mean that you can see much further with NV on. If you look without NV all you see is a dark spot with some lights around it. Once you wear the NV you can see though this "black wall".
Also old ways of adjusting gamma up like in other games won't work with SF night maps. It'll only render your NV useless
It is a matter of switching on, and off, and knowing the map, and it's bright locations. Make use of the flashbangs, and bright areas if you don't want to use NV.
One thing I really don't like about the NV in SF is the tunnel view you have. The screen is already tunnel enough with no periperal view.

yea i know what you mean i cant stand the night maps couse i cant see, the night vision is crap its hard to see stuff....... some one think of the sniper :P

how can you not like night maps?? It adds so much more variety the the game.
