  • Simpe question regarding the mx1000.

    How do you assign the scroll left/right to BF2 as jump or something?
    My bf2 doesn't recognize those, the changeprogramm button or the continous scrolling buttons.

    Help apreciated!

    easy you have to use the set point software and assign these buttons to an actual key press.

    for example I have m assigned to scroll right which i use for reloading and n assigned to scroll left which i use for entering vehicles.

    hope this helps

      Like H9DLB said, use Set Point as BF2 will not recognize them as buttons.

          Go here:

          http://www.logigamer.com for good information.

          Edit your device's .xml file (C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\Devices\PointingDevice\100 0040\1000040.xml for the MX1000) and change this:
          Code:
          <Device DisplayName="MX 1000 Laser Mouse" Class="PointingDevice" Model="16777280" NumberOfButtons="10">

          To this:
          Code:
          <Device DisplayName="MX 1000 Laser Mouse" Class="PointingDevice" Model="16777280" NumberOfButtons="10" AppTier="2">
          Or use this application:

          I have left tilt set to main weapon and right tilt set to sidearm.
          Cruise up is Weapon 5 (C4, mine, smoke) and cruise down is weapon 4 (e.g. grenade, GL, AT rocket)

                    Re: Simpe question regarding the mx1000.

                    Right click on the logitech icon in your tray and select 'Mouse and Keyboard settings'.

                    Look at 'Section 1a. Select Program' and hit the 'Manage Programs' button. Browse for BF2.exe. Then, select BF2.exe from the drop-down list.

                    Then, look at Section 2. Select the mouse button you wish to map.

                    Then, look at Section 3. Select the function you wish to map to that button. In the case of BF2, more often than not, you will select the first option: 'Keys: keystroke assignment', then hit the keyboard key you wish to assign to the mouse button you selected in the previous step.

                    Repeat until you have all 10 buttons mapped.

                    For me:

                    left tilt: 3 (main weapon)
                    right tilt: 2 (sidearm)
                    cruise down: 4 (weapon 4)
                    cruise up: 5 (weapon 5)
                    middle mouse: map zoom (set in-game)
                    small thumb: m (full screen map)
                    app switch: enter (spawn interface)
                    large thumb: 7 (night vision)
                    left click: left click (fire)
                    right click: right click (iron sights)

                    You can set up a mouse config for ANY .exe file and with a TON of extra cool options.
